At Second Stage, we create and champion plays and musicals solely from living American writers. On our mainstage Broadway theater, the Hayes, and in our two Off Broadway theaters over the past 40 years, we have developed and presented over 200 daring and provocative theatrical experiences by working with countless artists who have contributed their talents to our award-winning productions.   • Executive Support
    • Provide direct support for Executive Director including but not limited to:
      • Maintain calendars, scheduling meetings and calls, coordinating travel and transportation arrangements, tracking and reconciling expenses, booking tickets, and drafting general correspondence, taking notes at meetings, liaising with other staff and departments, producing documents and briefings, and coordinating personal support as needed
  • Board Support
    • Provide administrative support for the Board of Directors, including but not limited to:
      • Coordinate projects and assist with logistics as needed; coordinate scheduling of Board of Directors meetings and events; manage Zoom links and calendar invites (as well as guest lists); create and manage Board book compilation; attend and prep Committee and Board meetings as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of professional experience desirable
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to prioritize, attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook required. Working knowledge of social media and file-share platforms needed
  • Enthusiasm for theater and a working knowledge of the industry is a must
  • A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • This position reports to the Executive Director and requires availability on some nights and weekends


Compensation: Base salary starting at $44,000 annually
