The Role:
As the Operations Coordinator (Ontario), you will be integral to supporting the expansion of our food rescue operations across the province. You’ll ensure seamless communication and collaboration between food donors and non-profits in Ontario, using our Second Harvest Food Rescue App to drive efficiency and impact.

Your Impact:

  • Support Second Harvest’s non-profit and donor network across Ontario by providing timely, excellent customer service through the Second Harvest Food Rescue App.
  • Document and track all interactions with the network (phone calls, emails) to ensure clear communication and reporting.
  • Identify capability gaps and collaborate with the team to improve the food rescue app and match donors with the appropriate non-profit partners.
  • Conduct site visit audits to assess the needs and capacities of non-profit partners.
  • Work closely with the Food Recovery and Partnership team to ensure efficient program delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance Second Harvest’s programs and initiatives, reinforcing our role as a thought leader in food rescue and food literacy.
  • Collect and maintain impact stories from non-profit partners, showcasing the positive outcomes of our work.
  • Deliver presentations and participate in speaking engagements to increase program engagement.
