In 2017, SeatGeek launched SG Enterprise, making our first foray into primary ticketing. This year, we became the partner of choice for select NBA, NFL and MLS teams.  Moving forward, we’ll be partnering with more teams than ever before, complementing our rapidly growing consumer business which continually strives to improve the experience of attending live events.

As SeatGeek continues to grow rapidly both in the US and internationally, we’re looking to add to our legal team. As our Corporate Counsel, you’ll work closely with our General Counsel and numerous teams within the company to advise on a broad range of legal matters, including partnerships, enterprise sales, general corporate matters, employment law, privacy and regulatory issues, intellectual property and dispute resolution.   

What You’ll Do

  • Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements to support sales, particularly enterprise sales, including SaaS and other services agreements, SOWs, NDAs and distribution agreements, among others
  • Create or update contract templates as our business evolves and grows
  • Dive into the sales process to fully support the sales cycle and onboarding
  • Stay apprised of ever-changing laws affecting the SeatGeek business, and research new legal issues
  • Assist with defining and implementing best practices around workflow and process to further scale the legal department
  • Assist with maintenance and development of SeatGeek’s intellectual property portfolio

 

What You Have

  • J.D. degree from U.S. accredited institution
  • Bar membership with the ability to work in-house in New York
  • 5-10 years of post-J.D. experience, including a law firm and prior in-house legal team
  • Experience with SaaS agreements and negotiating large scale, multi-year partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to handle a broad range of responsibilities and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience improving workflows and implementing best practices
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions in support of strategic business initiatives and objectives
  • Experience in the ticketing industry and/or with sports teams or leagues is preferred
