Ticketing is a complex, historically opaque industry with a unique set of challenges. At SeatGeek we look to open ticketing with innovative technology, thoughtful interfaces, and an above-all-else focus on our users.
We think going to live events is a driver of happiness for our users—and work hard to build a mobile experience that makes it easy and fun to participate in more live experiences.
As a Mobile Product Manager at SeatGeek, you'll become an integral part of our mobile engineering team, defining and shipping product features that shape the way people find and buy tickets to their favorite live events.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work closely with our mobile engineers and product designers, helping coordinate new feature launches and ensuring that we're constantly improving our mobile products. Specifically, you will:
Work closely with mobile engineering leads and product design to plan new product features and then drive their creation, including writing feature specs, making wireframes, detailing goals, defining KPIs, and getting an improved product into users’ hands
Provide project management support to the iOS and Android native app teams, including triaging requests, ideas, and bug reports into a well-organized backlog, overseeing sprint and long-term planning, as well as implementation and release
Act as an ambassador for your product area to the rest of the company, collecting inputs and clearly communicating project status to all stakeholders, as well as taking responsibility for deadlines and deliverables
Obsess over product analytics, creating and monitoring product dashboards and constantly finding new insights in our user data
Refine features and increase usage through product improvements and rigorous experimentation
Make product decisions backed by quantitative data, mixed with your innate sense for what will delight our users
What We're Looking For
You’re a curious, empathetic, hyper-organized self-starter with 3-6 years of product management experience, preferably with 2+ years of mobile product experience. You can manage a lot of information, projects, and responsibilities at once. You obsess over the details, while making sure not to lose touch of the big picture. You care deeply about providing a great experience to both customers and teammates, and understand how your team’s projects drive business value.
Ideally you also have experience with the following tools and platforms:
A design or wireframing tool such as Sketch or Balsamiq
Analytics and/or business intelligence tools such as Looker, Amplitude, or Google Analytics, as well as comfort querying datastores directly
Project management tools such as Trello, Asana, Jira, Pivotal Tracker, or GitHub Issues
