Here at Seated we are looking for a creative and passionate Copywriter to join our growing marketing team. In the role you will be the sole copywriter and will work on everything from content for our channels such as the app, CRM/emails/push, social media and our website as well as supporting wider marketing campaigns and helping develop our blog. As our brand identity evolves, you will help develop our voice and implement it across every touchpoint both internally and externally. You should be able to write a social media post, all the way up to creative ideation and also support in bigger campaign thinking.
To be successful in this role you will be a gifted storyteller, with the ability to concept creative ideas with brand objectives and target consumer in mind. You will be innovative and detail-oriented and enjoy collaborating with different teams. We are a small team so you will enjoy getting your hands dirty and working at a fast pace.
What you’ll do
- Be a copy machine! Deliver compelling copy across channels and platform where no job is too big or small
- Help develop & execute on a content strategy that can be used across both user and restaurant facing assets
- Maintain a consistent brand voice while still writing copy that feels unique and compelling, personalized and friendly, clear and knowledgeable.
- Write and edit compelling marketing emails, including subject lines, with the goal of maximizing open rate, click-through rate and conversion
- Work with design team to support campaigns and messaging across digital, print, and out of home channels; write and edit copy for campaigns that pushes our brand personality forward while clearly communicating platform benefits
- Use customer and data insights to inspire creative concepts
- Digest test learnings and feedback to optimize copy and turn around edits quickly
What you’ll bring
- A writer with 4 or more years as a copywriter in a fast-paced environment.
- Be adaptable to working on a broad range of projects. You will know the difference between a compelling subject line, witty social caption or long-form brand story (blog content)
- Excellent grammar, writing, and editorial skills—you take your English very seriously and have meticulous attention to the details
- Creative flexibility—you can flex your writing and adjust your language and tone based on your audience
- A thoughtful questioner who thinks outside the box and knows when to push back vs. when to keep it moving
- A food fan who’s inspired and interested by food trends, wellness/nutrition news, and cool content in general
Nice to haves
- You have experience managing a blog or content management system and/or social media platforms
- You have worked in a fast paced start up and enjoy wearing many hats
