The role

We are looking for a Head of Content and Communications to lead our growing Marketing team. The Marketing team helps to define, manage, and promote the Seated brand, delivering a cohesive message around what we say about Seated and how we say it.

You will lead the marketing team, overseeing: Social, Copy, PR, SEO, Restaurant Marketing, website and overall brand direction and launch our blog. In this role you will report directly to the CEO and be part of the leadership team and partner  with the Growth team and Design team to execute a seamless experience for our users. You will partner with the Growth team to create marketing solutions that bring powerful messaging, creative strategy and reliable execution to all growth campaigns. Ultimately, you will be directly responsible for driving brand awareness and in turn driving growth of our user base. 

To be successful in this role you will have experience creating and building a brand identity and strategy as well as helping a business scale using innovative marketing strategies. You will be particularly adept at bringing a brand story to life through organic channels, whilst being inspired to test and experiment with new ways to reach users. You will be a people leader who has experience working with cross-functional teams and getting stakeholder buy-in. Seated is growing quickly; we are looking for a Director who is excited to join a brand that is still new, can thrive in a fast-paced environment ripe with ambiguity, and who is willing to roll up their sleeves to do whatever it takes to help build a brand.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement cohesive marketing plan to drive brand awareness and user growth
  • Build relationships with media and stakeholders through creative PR strategies
  • Establish a voice for Seated that is consistent across channels
  • Establish and manage a blog calendar and content
  • Use customer insights and data to evaluate ongoing marketing success, informing future improvements and changes in the brand communication strategy
  • Collaborate with the VP of Growth on the email marketing strategy
  • Work with marketing team to create cohesive online marketing strategy, including strategy across social media, SEO, and content marketing
  • Be creative, curious, and strive for high-quality and engaging content in all scenarios
  • Be able to scale operations by selectively managing outsourced vendors and making decisions about where to place resources to achieve speed-to-market
  • Identify opportunities for growth throughout the funnel, working with relevant team members on Marketing team and cross-functionally with Design and Product

What you’ll bring

  • 7+ years experience working in brand Marketing 
  • Proven work experience as a Marketing leader
  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns for a B2C technology product 
  • Ability to form a deep understanding of our customer and how to connect with them through all forms of marketing content
  • Experience managing engagement strategies for consumer-facing mobile app
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, web analytics and Google Analytics
  • Highly collaborative, ability to work well in a cross-functional team developing cohesive content and a passion for developing others
  • Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques (Tableau, OneSignal, Branch, GA, AppsFlyer, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
