DATA SCIENCE LEAD (STRATEGIST)

What experience should you have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in developing machine learning solutions, and;
  • 2-3 years of experience in a professional consulting role; preferably with industries subject to strict data regulations.  
  • Proficiency in machine learning concepts, with a preference for candidates who have experience with generative AI and natural language processing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of statistical, mathematical, and machine learning concepts.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with experience in mentoring or managing teams, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative working environment.
  • A deep understanding of ethical AI principles and a passion for advancing trustworthy AI practices within the industry.

What you’ll be doing in this role:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their strategic objectives, identify potential solutions that can be readily deployed, and articulate the value of these solutions in driving business transformation.
  • Lead our data science team through ideation and scoping of AI solutions to high-value problems including data collection, risk management, and ongoing deployment. 
  • Facilitate educational workshops and design thinking sessions to demystify AI/ML concepts for stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of explainability, privacy, and ethical considerations in AI deployments.
  • Establish and oversee KPIs, data governance practices, risk management strategies, and continuous improvement processes to ensure the success and scalability of AI solutions.
  • Cultivate long-term, collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members, acting as a trusted advisor in the realm of AI strategy.
  • Identify, research, and experiment with emerging AI-powered tools and develop thought leadership by participating in public speaking, writing, and community engagement activities, with a focus on ethical AI practices and innovative use of AI-powered tools.
  • Provide expertise in the selection, customization, and deployment of enterprise AI tools and platforms, including but not limited to chatbots, virtual assistants, and advanced analytics solutions across various cloud environments (e.g., Enterprise ChatGPT, Google Duet, Writer, etc.. ). 

What you'll need to accomplish in your first year:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, cultivating long-term relationships and exploring opportunities to expand the impact of AI across their organizations.
  • Champion the use of cutting-edge AI technologies, including language and multi-modal models, to innovate and enhance our solution offerings.
  • Contribute to Further’s thought leadership in AI ethics, responsible AI practices, and emerging AI technologies through public speaking, writing, and community engagement.
