Seam has a single API for controlling 100s of IoT devices like smart locks, thermostats, sensors, cameras, and more. Software companies use Seam’s API orchestrate the use of their smart devices across tens of thousands of properties across the world. This means automating property access for AirBnBs, hotels, apartment complexes, and office buildings; automating thermostat usage for energy savings; and actions based on sensor data. Seam is THE platform that was missing for smart buildings to scale.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team and drive new business growth. As the second Account Executive on the team, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities to hand off to our implementation and customer success team.

In this role, you will be working directly with our CEO, Head of Sales, and technical CSM to convince and onboard the largest property software companies in the world. This role will require managing a pipeline of up to 80 opportunities with deal sizes >$100k, attending conferences around the world, multi-threading from Director to c-suite, and managing CRM data.

We’re an API company, so some technical background or knowledge is preferred along with early startup experience. *This role is San Francisco based. We are not looking for remote candidates at the moment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth
  • Expansion of existing customers
  • Traveling to conferences in the US and Europe (potentially Australia and the Middle East)
  • Help the sales team improve its processes and functions to scale and drive new business

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years software sales experience.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to travel to conferences around the United States and in other countries.
  • Experience with cold outbound and conference account based model.
  • Strategic prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills; consultative sales approach with a product-centric mindset. This is a technical product. You have to get technical with customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical solutions and articulate the value proposition to clients.
  • Excited to get into the technical details, understand how Seam works and what sets it apart from competitors.
  • Eagerness to work in a high-growth environment and to help build processes and tools as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working at a series C startup or earlier.
  • Proficiency in technical products and APIs.
