Role & Responsibilities:
SCS Financial is looking for an Associate to join the Client Advisor Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who would like to contribute to one of the firm’s core business management teams. The Client Advisor Services team is responsible for many of the integral operating functions that support the client service team. As a member of this group, the Associate will participate in the support of client relationships, organization and maintenance of client information, cashiering and money movements, and facilitation of various firmwide support functions. The Associate will also regularly interface with numerous teams within the firm to support client relationships. We are seeking candidates who are well organized, detail‐focused, energetic, and team‐oriented. The right candidate is a self‐starter with a strong work ethic who has excellent communication skills and the ability to think critically.
This role is ideal for a candidate looking to utilize the skills they have learned in alternative fund operations or portfolio accounting and continue to grow in their career.
- Daily Cashiering: process and reconcile money movements on behalf of clients with strict adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Interface directly with external custodian banks in the account opening and asset transfer process.
- Maintain existing client information; ensure all necessary data and documentation is accurately captured and preserved in the Firm’s database
- Support alternative investment processing procedures on behalf of clients.
- Work closely with other middle office teams to ensure client portfolio information is accurate and updated on a regular and timely basis.
- Assist in all ad hoc information or report requests from advisors.
- Participate in the enhancement of firmwide projects designed to improve the overall client experience, internal workflows, or data movement around the Firm.
Qualifications:
- 1 - 3 years in operations within financial services industry. Prior experience in wealth management, RIA, or family office or comparable preferred. Internship experience will also be considered
- Experience with financial technology and workflows; working knowledge of Addepar is a plus
- Analytically inclined, demonstrating intellectual curiosity, high integrity, and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work independently, build strong cross functional relationships
- Strong organization and communication skills, both written and oral
- Pro-active and solutions-oriented with an ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
- Bachelor’s degree and a demonstrated track record of academic success
