What you’ll do

As the Sr. Analyst, People Analytics on our People Operations team, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting HR data to provide valuable insights and recommendations to support talent management strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for data analysis, proficiency in statistical methods, and a passion for leveraging data to drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.

  • Collect and clean HR data from various sources, including HRIS, performance management systems, employee surveys, and other relevant platforms. Ensure data accuracy and integrity for analysis.
  • Analyze HR data using statistical techniques and data visualization tools to identify trends, patterns, and correlations. Perform ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key talent metrics and KPIs, such as turnover rates, employee engagement scores, and workforce demographics. Prepare regular reports for HR leaders and business stakeholders.
  • Analyze diversity and inclusion metrics to assess the effectiveness of DEI initiatives and identify areas for improvement. Support the development of strategies to promote diversity and inclusion within the organization.
  • Conduct analysis of employee feedback surveys and other employee experience data to uncover insights into engagement drivers, satisfaction levels, and areas for improvement. Support efforts to enhance the employee experience.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives, such as training and development programs, performance management processes, and employee recognition programs. Provide insights and recommendations for program optimization.
  • Collaborate with HR leaders, business partners, and other stakeholders to understand their data and analytics needs. Communicate findings and insights in a clear and concise manner.

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. Remote, U.S. based applicants will be considered, however, preference will be given to applicants based near a Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC; Novi, MI; or Tysons VA. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in HR analytics, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Adeptness with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, a must. Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and databases a plus; experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar ideal.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $120,000-$140,000

Internal leveling code: IC8
