Business Analyst (m/f)

Your role within the Consumer Services team goes beyond traditional analytical tasks. You will be intensively involved in the provision of data, making a key contribution to stakeholder groups including Analytics, product management, and IT development. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys getting to the bottom of things, and who is always looking for new ways to bring the idea of a data-driven business to life.


What we need from you:

  • Regular reporting: Creation and Modification of high-quality, informative, easy-to-understand reports, especially with our BI-Tool Micro Strategy
  • Ad-hoc reporting: Generating insights about urgent business issues with different data sources (Google Analytics, SQL databases etc.)
  • Data engineering: Identification, preparation and debugging/fixing of appropriate data structures and metrics. Sometimes these tasks are done independently, sometimes a requirement needs to be sent to our IT developers (e.g. implementation of web tracking)
  • Consulting and education of our team, especially product management (use of reports, interpretation of metrics) and developers (how-to implement tracking)


What we need you to bring:

  • Degree in the field of business administration, computer science or mathematics/statistics
  • Job experience in business analytics or data engineering
  • Knowledge in frontend-reporting, e.g. Google Analytics or Tag Management Tools like Tealium – use of these tools and implementation/modification/debugging
  • Knowledge in backend-reporting, e.g. querying SQL databases or Apache Hive
  • Knowledge in BI tools like Micro Strategy or Tableau (data modelling, creation of reports)
  • Optional: Experience in data science, e.g. reporting with Python or Scala
  • Optional: Experience with Amazon AWS services with BI relevance (e.g. Data Pipelines)
  • Very good language skills in German and English
