About the Role & Team

As part of the DevEx: Enablement team, you are passionate about team empowerment and optimizing productivity. In this role, you will spearhead initiatives to streamline onboarding processes, enhance knowledge sharing, minimize context switching, and optimize feedback loops throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Your primary focus will be empowering our teams to work more efficiently and effectively, ultimately leading to higher satisfaction and productivity.

About the Work

  • Use our internal developer portal to ensure standards are met across the engineering organization
  • Work closely with engineering teams to take the best of what they know and make it global within the engineering org
  • Design and implement solutions to improve time-to-onboard for new developers joining teams, reduce the time required to find answers and information, minimize context switching between tooling, and shorten feedback loops in the SDLC process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their workflows and challenges, and provide guidance and support in implementing productivity-enhancing practices and tools
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure both qualitative and quantitative baselines and improvements in team productivity, satisfaction, and flow state
  • Lead training sessions and workshops to educate team members on best practices, tools, and techniques for maximizing productivity and maintaining a state of flow
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to team productivity and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement initiatives

About You

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on optimizing team productivity and collaboration
  • Experience using Elixir, TypeScript, or Java
  • Experience with build tooling and automated testing
  • Experience with IaaS/IaaC tools
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Experience implementing solutions to improve onboarding processes, knowledge sharing, tooling, and feedback loops
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying systems thinking to understand and solve complex organizational challenges
  • You enjoy helping teams collaborate more effectively and efficiently
  • Passion for continuous learning and personal development
