POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Accountant position is responsible for preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end close, and handling daily treasury functions.  Staff Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures in accordance with GAAP, and PCOAB standards monthly, within tight timelines.  

Duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Prepares and maintains GL by recording monthly journal entries with sufficient support documentations providing a clear audit trail on multiple balance sheet and cash accounts
  2. Ensures all assigned balance sheet accounts are reconciled and analyzed every month
  3. Performs fluctuation analysis on assigned balance sheet, and related income statement accounts; research, resolve and document variances
  4. Prepares monthly reports, quarterly and year end packages
  5. Supports quarterly and annual various audit function PBC requests
  6. Ensures compliance with US GAAP and PCOAB standards
  7. Monitors and reporting detailed daily banking activity  
  8. Prepares various deliverables to support the preparation of the financial statements 
  9. Assists with any other ad hoc projects, analysis or analytics as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Qualifications 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience required
  3. CPA preferred
  4. Good understanding of GAAP/PCOAB standards 
  5. Familiarity of Microsoft Office, Gmail, Excel, and Word, required
  6. Working knowledge of NetSuite is a plus

  11. Ability to maintain good rapport with vendors, consultants and employees

  2. Ability to work in a remote environment.
  3. Flexibility to accommodate working among different time zones.

REPORTING

The incumbent works under the guidance of the department’s Accounting Manager. Incumbent is expected to be able to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
