To help us achieve our goal, we are seeking a razor-sharp Sales Manager, Clinical Trial Services eager to make an impact within a mission-driven organization.  

Position Overview 

The Sales Manager, Clinical Trial Services is a key member of the Commercial Team and is responsible for identifying, targeting, and helping secure new business through professional, proactive sales activities to drive business and establish introductions to facilitate new customer relationships.  The Sales Manager will partner directly with Management to strategically target new business opportunities and procure introductory conversations with new clients.  Their key focus will be to drive growth by establishing new sponsor relationships where there is a strategic business fit.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Identify, target, and introduce new business through professional, proactive sales activities to drive awareness and optimize business targeting efforts
  • Maintain pipeline of new business opportunities and accounts
  • Collaborate with senior management and functional managers as needed
  • Research and identify target accounts, secure introductory conversations, and understand potential collaboration for partnership between Science 37 and sponsors
  • Assist marketing team in lead generation efforts, message positioning, and conference and prospect development efforts
  • Effectively leverage company resources/tools to maximize business results (marketing materials, speaker programs, regional trade shows)
  • Demonstrate a high level of accountability for all administrative tasks (CRM utilization, weekly reports, etc.)


  • BS degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • 3 + years of Sales Management, 5+ years Business Development experience, preferably in B2B sales in a CRO, Pharmaceutical, or Biotech environment
  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, clinical trials, and drug development and commercialization
  • Demonstrated high degree of interpersonal skills that allow the individual to build relationships, communicate, and make positive change
  • Proven track record of delivering results and meeting targets
  • Knowledge of and experience with CRM tools/platforms and ability to utilize the CRM tool provided to manage contacts and opportunities/funnels
  • Excellent strategic business/industry awareness and a thorough understanding of trends and impact on the business; ability to translate emerging industry trends relevant to the organization
  • Proven successful track record at procuring new business contacts, contributing to revenue potential and overall funnel
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and create opportunities
  • Excellent skills using Salesforce
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to travel 20% of time; domestic

  • Up to 20% travel, as needed, for project team meetings, client presentations and other professional meetings/conferences as needed

The incumbent reports to the Senior Director, Growth Team  who will also assign projects, provide general direction and guidance.  Incumbent is expected to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
