We’re seeking a Life Science Education Specialist to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods!

Schrödinger is a science and technology leader with over 25 years of experience developing molecular modeling solutions. As a member of Schrödinger’s Education team, you’ll create pedagogical materials that use relevant and recent drug discovery case studies and lead workshops for researchers who are unfamiliar with computational techniques. This role will be one of scientific storytelling, requiring the ability to relay scientific achievements in an engaging and meaningful way. By showcasing our industry-leading software platform for a broad and diverse scientific audience, you’ll gain in-depth familiarity with our entire suite of small-molecule and biologics software, which includes packages for docking, molecular simulations, homology modeling, pharmacophore modeling, cheminformatics, and ligand design.

What you’ll do:

  • Test, update and maintain educational content in our suite of life science tutorials and online courses 
  • Work closely with the life science education team to learn and communicate the functionality of the life science tools across all application areas
  • Provide critical feedback on new educational content and software functionality 
  • Design approaches to train experimental chemists in introductory molecular modeling concepts
  • You can expect to gain a high proficiency with Schrödinger simulation software that is applied to critical technology areas, including drug and biologics design

What you should have:

  • A degree in chemistry, biochemistry, computational chemistry or a related field
  • Experience with the application of at least one of the following groups of computational methods for drug and biologics design:
    • Virtual screening - structure based or ligand based
    • Molecular dynamics and/or free energy perturbation
    • Target validation
  • Experience with writing about or teaching scientific concepts to a broad audience
