SchoolMint is looking for a Product Manager to guide product evolution from conception to launch, creating delightful experiences for our users, including school administrators, teachers, students, and parents. SchoolMint’s Product Manager will work closely with end-users, engineers, designers, and marketers, to deliver software products that improve K-12 education. The Product Manager will perform market research and help produce new features that improve the position of our products with the K-12 education market.
Distill market research and inputs from key business stakeholders to create a product strategy and actionable product roadmap
Collect user stories and define new features, collaborate effectively across teams, including Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing to ensure successful execution and launch of product releases
Write specs and, create wireframes, lead walkthroughs. Communicate functionality and incorporate users/stakeholder feedback
Prioritize feature ideas and bug fixes, along with growth-experiments and long-term strategic projects
Manage complex product issues, quickly analyzing problems and providing recommendations that inform roadmap priorities and address the needs of clients and key stakeholders
Support product releases by providing effective knowledge sharing tools and documents (e.g. presentations, FAQs, how-to documents) to other teams
3+ years as a Product Manager, with both web and mobile product experience.
Proficiency with software development methodologies such as Agile and experience working with Scrum teams
Able to research market trends and product usage and make product strategy recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative analysis
Excellent ability to communicate your ideas, regardless of audience, and have unmatched collaboration skills
Strong penchant for organization, and the ability to keep teammates organized and in sync.
Ability to balance short-term wins with long-term strategic decisions
You have strong opinions, weakly held. You are able to take ownership of your work, but when others come up with great ideas, you are willing to put your ego aside to do what's best
Strong technical experience, preferably gained through building consumer products on iOS, Android, and Web
Work with limited direction, in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
Ability to rationalize decisions and clearly articulate recommendations to end-users and key stakeholders
Good sense of design principles and a strong visual aesthetic.
Knowledge of Pivotal Tracker and Balsamiq or similar task management and wire-framing tools
