The Role

We are seeking to hire a highly motivated individual to work within our Treasury Team as a Repo Trader.

The Treasury team is responsible for all aspects of financing functions across the firm’s investment activities including but not limited to collateral optimization and balance allocations, counterparty relationships, counterparty legal agreement negotiations, counterparty risk management, cash reinvestment strategies and FX exposure management for the firm. The team plays a very central role at the firm and works extremely closely with both the investment and infrastructure sides of the firm’s businesses.

What you’ll do

This candidate will report into the Head of Treasury and work closely with other members of the Treasury team. You will be responsible for executing repo transactions and managing broker relationships. You will provide a key role providing funding costs and investment opportunities to portfolio managers (PMs).

Primary responsibilities include:

Repo execution
Optimization of repo funding costs and capital requirements
Providing market insights to PMs on funding and financing opportunities
Building and maintain relationships with external counterparties

Repo trading experience
Technical acumen and experience with automation
Strong interest and knowledge in markets and a wide range of products
Strong understanding and experience in Basis trading
In-depth understanding of market dynamics and EMEA regulations impacting financing markets
Experience working with PMs
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
