The Role
We are seeking to hire an exceptional Compliance Associate to join our compliance team in our New York office.  This role has the opportunity to cover a wide range of core compliance activity and has a strong focus on due diligence and investor related compliance activity. This position requires flexibility to support the wider compliance department with activities outside of the listed responsibilities.


What you’ll do

  • Conduct Due Diligence for the firm across a number of connections, including;
    • External managers
    • Prime and executing brokers.
    • Alternative Data and other vendors.
    • Investors
  • Specific responsibilities include;
    • Request and review of relevant compliance documentation, including policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regulatory and compliance verification checks.
    • Participate in on-site manager visits, manager meetings and conference calls, and write memos/minutes when required.
    • Drafting standardized structured reports for each manager, including reviews of key areas of the operations, trade process, risk management, compliance and business continuity planning.
  • Keeping track of the changes in regulatory environments, industry practices and other factors and evaluate their impact to the due diligence process.


What you’ll bring
What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a due diligence or audit related role.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and attentive to detail.
  • Capable of managing a diverse workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment. Structured, methodical and consistent in execution.
  • Adaptable and open to change, a natural problem solver and lateral thinker.
  • Calm and concise communicator, collaborative and able to engage well with staff of varying roles and seniority.
  • Firm and team first in thinking.

We’d love if you had:

  • PowerPoint and other presentation materials creation skills.
  • An auditing, operational risk or similar background.

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $100,000 and $130,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
