Execution Trader - Macro

 

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Asset Macro Trader with to join the team at Schonfeld in our Singapore office. You will have a passion for trading and a deep understanding of the market, proactively collaborating with portfolio managers on market knowledge, performance, and trends. You will create strong relationships across internal/external stakeholder groups and be able to communicate effectively and work well with others.

 

What you’ll do 

  • Maintain best practice execution on all trades and ensure the desk is always providing optimal execution service to Portfolio Managers
  • Proactively support global Macro business within Asia, inclusive of communication of market color and major news events, development of trade ideas and distribution and interpretations of performance summaries.
  • Understand day-to-day risk, regulatory, and compliance concerns associated with all execution matters in APAC
  • Help innovate operational and technology development associated with the APAC Macro trading busines
  • Manage broker relationships and provide feedback to all our execution counterparties

 

What you’ll bring


What you need:

  • A minimum of 3 years trading/sales coverage experience, on the buyside(hedge funds) or Tier 1 sell side names (covering hedge funds)
  • Deep understanding and experience within Macro products (FX, Rates, CDS, Futures, Delta One, Derivatives, Commodities)
  • Experience collaborating and supporting multiple Portfolio Managers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to process information and communicate high-level ideas effectively
  • Desire to gather information throughout a broad set of topics
  • An ability to collate data and perform due diligence in-order-to come to an educated opinion
  • Balance intellectual honestly and the ability / willingness to change view if facts change
  • Network of sell side contacts, particularly within traders / sales traders
  • Commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards
  • Deep curiosity, attention to detail and strong analytical skills
