Business Analyst - Systematic Strategy Office of the COO (APAC)

 

The Role

We are looking to hire a dedicated Business Analyst in APAC as part of the Systematic Strategy Office of the COO team. You will be the central point of contact for APAC Systematic & Index Portfolio Managers, taking a lead role with regards to PM onboarding, project managing launches and supporting the ongoing growth and development of their strategies. From time to time you may assist the Discretionary Macro & Fixed Income (DMFI) and Delta One COO teams and PMs. You will collaborate with the Schonfeld Data team on external sourcing and relationships.

The Business Analyst will play a key technical role in building decision support tools, dashboards and business process automation (BPA). You will be a strong communicator with a solid understanding of the trade lifecycle and strong technical skills.

 

What you’ll do 

The role is dynamic with a broad range of responsibilities. These include:

  • Relationship management of APAC Systematic & Index PMs. This includes:
    • PM Onboarding – From company set-up/structuring to pre-launch testing/integrations, you will be taking a lead role in helping PMs onboard to the platform effectively
    • Relationship management of PMs – Working alongside key internal teams, you will be supporting PMs throughout their Schonfeld journey, supporting them with various requests and participating in regular reviews to ensure we are meeting their needs
  • Promote and maintain a unified, seamless approach for all PM’s on the platform
  • Foster collaborative communication across both the Investment and Non-Investment teams.
  • Utilize technical skills to build decision support tools, dashboards, and Business Process Automation (BPA).
  • Counterparty relationship management across prime brokers, trading, research, and data.

 

What you’ll bring
What you need:

  • A strong work ethic and trustworthy character
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, working within financial services
  • A good understanding of the trade lifecycle
  • Technical skills; proficiency working in Python and/or SQL
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
  • Experience interacting with Portfolio Managers who run multi-asset class investment strategies
  • Understanding of Execution Routing and Prime Broker workflows
  • English and Chinese language proficiency
