The Role

We are seeking to hire an exceptional and experienced individual to join our compliance team in our London office.  This role has the opportunity to cover the full breadth of compliance activity and has a strong focus on investment and markets advisory support; trading queries, trade related regulatory reporting, market operations and regulations, business development input.

What you’ll do 

  • Provide second line advisory to the business; front/middle and back office
  • Support in delivering the full book of work for the UK compliance team, including assisting in mentoring and coaching.
  • Collaborate with the global compliance teams on common streams
  • Provide direct cover and support for the EMEA head of compliance as needed
  • Assist in the design, development, management, implementation and execution of the UK and EMEA compliance program.
    • Policy and procedures management
    • Monitoring and testing
    • Regulatory development tracking and implementation
    • Surveillance and testing
    • Regulatory liaison
    • Development and use of technology and systems
    • Regulatory filing and reporting
    • Other appropriate controls

 

What you’ll bring
What you need:

  • A relevant bachelors degree
  • Strong working compliance experience at a Hedge Fund
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment UK/EMEA based hedge funds
  • Led and delivered enterprise wide compliance or change projects (e.g system implementation/regulatory change initiatives/new product)
  • Technical knowledge of and direct experience of advising one or all of the following
    • Equity
    • Multi manager hedge funds
    • Macro
    • Systematic or algorithmic trading
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and attentive to detail
  • Capable of managing a diverse workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment. Structured, methodical and consistent in execution
  • Adaptable and open to change, a natural problem solver and lateral thinker
  • Calm and concise communicator, collaborative and able to engage well with staff of varying roles and seniority
  • Firm and team first in thinking
