We are seeking a talented Software Developer to be part of an ambitious, newly formed quantitative investment team. This means the role will sit within a revenue-generating team. The team seeks to research and implement strategies across several different disciplines including systematic fundamental, sector specific and statistical arbitrage. This remit will involve multiple greenfield technology buildouts on cloud-based environments including projects around: machine learning, data warehousing, analytics engineering, ETL & ELT, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code.
What you’ll do
You will work with the team to build infrastructure to facilitate trading pipelines in a production environment, design & deploy research tools, and generally help architect our greenfield research & trading buildout. You will be responsible for building infrastructure that can support cloud-based solutions & distributed computing and generally developing a cutting-edge computational environment. You will have an opportunity to meaningfully contribute to all facets of running a successful quantitative trading business in a collegiate and collaborative environment.
What you’ll bring
What you need:
- At minimum, three years of experience with Python and a bachelor's degree in STEM.
- Outstanding communication and social skills.
- Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS/Google Cloud/Azure) and distributed/parallel programming.
- Ability to implement research ideas into efficient code.
- Ability to understand software needs and solution these needs into robust and scalable tools.
- Strong ownership and a track record of delivering results.
- The ability to carry multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to details.
- A strong desired to develop as an engineer within a research & trading team. Experience with Python and SQL

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $125,000 and $200,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications and experience.
