The Role 

We are seeking a highly qualified and talented technologist to join our Reference Data Technology Team. The Reference Data Management team at Schonfeld focuses on building a centralized data delivery and management pipeline allowing for the optimization of the day-to-day operations of the business.

                                                                                                                                                                

What you’ll do 

The Software Engineer will be responsible for helping to expand and maintain a centralized reference data platform. You will develop and deploy solutions to optimize complex workflows. You will contribute to a highly supportable, future-ready, performant code base that operates without latency. You will work with a modern tech stack – building microservices that deploy to the cloud (AWS) using containers (Docker). The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to solve problems and an interest in continuous improvement and learning.

 

What you’ll bring

What you need:

  • Expertise in successfully designing, building and implementing proprietary reference data management applications for post-trade
  • Experience with Master Data Management
  • Proficiency in Java, and Kafka
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results

  • Experience implementing data lakes
  • Experience deploying to the cloud
  • Experience within buy side financial firms
