Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Manager, you are the custodian of ScaleFactor’s customers’ accounting product experience,  among other things, and your day to day includes but not limited to the following:

  • Enable the core accounting functions through the ScaleFactor software by providing overall support for their financial and accounting operations behind the scenes
  • Map customers to the standard of ScaleFactor accounting 
  • You aren’t afraid of being “in the weeds” and actually enjoy getting back to the basics sometimes
  • Implement new ScaleFactor software internally and externally as it is rolled out
  • You are energized by a constantly evolving organization
  • Driver of process and efficiency improvements and are excited about being a catalyst of change in a start-up environment
  • Provide quality control and are ultimately responsible for ensuring that the deliverables our clients receive adhere to ScaleFactor’s high-quality standards
  • You view the product and engineering team as partners in improving the features of our proprietary software by testing, rolling out to internal/external teams and providing product feedback to product managers and developers 
  • You aren’t afraid to ask for help if you get stumped on a problem in order to keep moving forward efficiently 
  • Set up a new team of accounting experts in a satellite office and all that role entails

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting with 5 to 10 years experience in accounting and equivalent roles
  • 2+ years of experience as a manager and 2+ years experience in customer-facing / consultative roles
  • Experience working with start-up companies, fast-growing businesses
  • Technological optimist with experience using various platforms plus a working knowledge of cloud accounting tools including but not limited to Xero, QBO, Gusto, Bill.com, and Abacus
  • Solid understanding of accounting life-cycle and all that it entails for startups and growing businesses to succeed
  • Experience working with remote / satellite teams 

Bonus Points:

  • Master’s degree or CPA a plus
  • Experience in FinTech, SaaS start-up company 
  • Experience with adopting and implementing new software
