Qualifications (in order of importance)
Deep understanding of Private Equity – either from direct experience as an PE Analyst or Associate or from extensive experience interacting with PE
BD Skills and/or Orientation - Must enjoy the BD motion and ‘the chase’
Strong Functional GTM Knowledge – Experience with solutions across the sales & marketing landscape
West Coast location is beneficial, but not required
Experience
5 – 8 years of deal sourcing experience at PE firm OR Investment bank
OR 5-8 years selling into PE firms
Responsibilities of this role include
Proactive Outreach – Run a holistic set of BD plays, including cold outreach and facilitation of local events, to ensure SBI remains top of mind at key PE firms / key Portcos
Revenue Generation – Generate referrals and ultimately revenue through innovative business development initiatives, strategic partnerships, and effective negotiation.
Build Client Relationships – Primarily at Private Equity firms with Operating and Deal Partners, but also with Portco CEOs, CFOs, COOs and VP-level Sales & Marketing executives
Market Analysis - Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential risks, providing valuable insights to guide decision-making.
Trusted GTM Advisor – Earn the trust of the SBI personas you interact with by understanding their GTM challenges and fast framing potential solutions
Candidates must have the ability to travel at least 20% of the time
