Job purpose: The Campus Recruiter serves as the ultimate Saxbys “Brand Ambassador” through the implementation and execution of recruiting strategies to attract top talent to the organization for multiple regions.
Key objectives:
- Execute on recruiting strategies in alignment with talent needs and the evolution of the Saxbys brand
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key recruiting influencers at Saxbys, and at Universities and Colleges that serve as an ongoing and active pipeline to Saxbys cafes
- Demonstrate a passion for Saxbys, our incredible culture, Experiential Learning Platform, and an energetic and fast-paced approach to the hiring strategy we deploy
- Understand the needs and growth of the business and how that impacts hiring needs and recruiting strategies
Duties and responsibilities:
- Successfully fill Student Café Executive Officer position(s) as part of our innovative Experiential Learning Platform in partnership with affiliate Universities and Colleges
- Successfully fill hourly team member positions for Saxbys cafés within their responsible regions/pods and manage SVPs of Campus Recruiting assisting with those efforts
- Manage the full life-cycle recruiting process including, but not limited to, acting as the primary point of contact to candidates, event planning, candidate sourcing, scheduling and/or conducting phone screens and interviews, additional interview assessments, extending offers and assisting in onboarding for all hires
- Ensure a positive recruiting experience for all candidates
- Aid in the creative development and execution of recruiting strategies in alignment with campus partnerships and Experiential Learning Cafes, by:
- Partnering with new and existing higher education contacts, including university career centers, to source new talent pools and develop pipelines for future hire
- Strategic and innovative event planning, including orientations and key partner events, as well as piloting Diversity & Inclusion hiring strategies
- Proactively coordinating with the Saxbys Operations and Learning teams to anticipate café level hiring needs
- Planning recruiting and hiring strategically around new ELP café openings, academic calendars, cyclical new hire start dates and other key times of the year
- Manage accurate and timely candidate data, by:
- Actively maintaining all job postings within the Applicant Tracking System and on all external platforms
- Providing up-to-date, real-time information on candidate statuses across all systems and trackers
- Offering other metrics relevant to reporting requests for recruiting and hiring activity, as required
- Provide regular status updates to Operations and Experiential Learning & Impact teams
- Special, ad hoc projects as necessary
- Travel to campuses and all café locations as required, including overnight, after-hours and/or weekends while in peak season(s)

- Valid Driver’s License required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a campus recruiting or marketing role
- Positive attitude, detail oriented, aptitude for multitasking
- Strong sense of urgency and emotional intelligence
- Impeccable organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of recruiting platforms (ie, Applicant Tracking System(s) - Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed) and Boolean search methods
- Prior operations experience within the food and beverage or hospitality industry preferred
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time during campus recruiting season
- Willingness to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed
