Satellogic aims to capture every square meter of the Earth's surface to derive insights and enable better decision making for industries, governments, and individuals. Addressing some of humanity’s most pressing challenges, such as providing food or distributing energy for nine billion people without depleting resources, requires real-time planet-scale data. Satellogic has created small, inexpensive satellites, that transmit real-time data and images back home. Our constellation already has several high-resolution satellites in orbit and is growing to 300 in the next few years to provide new insights about our planet.
Image Processing Pipeline Engineer
In this role, you will build a distributed, scalable, cost-effective, cloud-based framework to run image-processing algorithms.
In this role, you will:
- Build distributed, scalable, cost-effective, cloud-based framework to run image-processing algorithms.
- Build services that monitor and control the processing pipeline - you will be in charge on the backend, UX and APIs of the system
- Support internal SW development (e.g. own CI/CD)
- Work with remotely located team members
- Work in multidisciplinary environment; collaborate with experts in different fields, such as image processing, optics, data science etc.
- Help reshaping existing and new algorithmic code, to improve performance by optimizing usage of the cloud infrastructure
What we value
- Degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 3 years of coding in python.
- Hands-on experience with standard distributed processing frameworks (spark, luigi, dask, Hadoop/HIPI, etc).
- Previous work with image processing, computer vision, GIS or remote sensing.
- Experience with docker, kubernetes, azure, cloud infrastructure.
- Proven experience working with big data on the cloud
- Advanced English
