What's the Short Version?
The Security Analyst is responsible for protecting SanMar's information systems by monitoring and responding to security threats, conducting threat hunting and vulnerability assessments, and documenting incident response activities. The role operates in a hybrid environment and involves collaboration with third-party SOC and security tool vendors.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Utilize internal security tools to respond to and investigate all security alerts.
- Conduct regular threat hunting and vulnerability assessments, coordinating mitigation efforts.
- Stay informed on current cybersecurity threats, trends, and protective technologies.
- Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to enhance the organization’s security stance.
- Generate monthly security metrics and reports.
- Document incident response activities as part of security investigations.
- Support compliance efforts related to PCI DSS and other regulatory frameworks.
- Work with third-party SOC for security monitoring and incident response.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and IT security projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
What Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field or equivalent experience in information security.
- 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat detection and analysis.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, networking, and incident response.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EPP, EAM, and vulnerability management.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2 Type 2 and relevant compliance requirements.
- Experience with both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Possession of security certifications, such as CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or (ISC)² Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize operational and project-based work effectively.
What's Our Offer?
Salary Range: You`ll earn between $100,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience.
Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary.
Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

Hybrid: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.
SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
