Travel Requirements: Hybrid, on-site work is required.

Compensation: $20-22 Per Hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, some weekends may be required

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Alumni Coordinator to join our dynamic team and help support our clients on their path to recovery.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead one in-person alumni meeting per week, providing a safe and supportive space for graduates of our programs to connect and share their experiences.
  • Lead one virtual alumni meeting per week to accommodate remote participants and ensure broad accessibility.
  • Facilitate one weekly staff meeting with young adult therapists to discuss upcoming discharges and ensure a seamless transition for clients.
  • Organize, lead, and participate in one monthly alumni event, fostering a sense of community among our graduates.
  • Participate in one young mental health group per week, contributing to therapeutic discussions and providing guidance based on your expertise.
  • Participate in one young adult substance use group per week, offering insights and support to clients on their recovery journey.
  • Maintain regular communication via email, text, and phone calls with alumni, providing ongoing support and encouragement.
  • Connect clients to local long-term recovery mental health and substance use support networks, helping them establish a strong community post-treatment.
  • Assist alumni who require support to readmit back into treatment, ensuring they receive the care they need in times of crisis.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing training to assist alumni in overcoming challenges and staying committed to their recovery.
  • Help facilitate the collection of Google reviews and video testimonials for our outpatient location to share success stories and inspire others.
  • Participate in marketing events in collaboration with the business development team, such as tours and open houses, as needed.
  • Introduce and connect alumni to affinity groups, small gatherings based on shared interests, to foster connections and hobbies.
  • Attend bi-annual TPAS (Treatment Provider Alumni Services) events for continuous professional development and networking.

 

 

Qualifications: 

Candidates must live within an hour of the outpatient location. Coordinators are expected to visit the outpatient office 2-3 times per week. 

Education:

  • High School Diploma Required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of chemical dependency and dual diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation requirements.
  • Possess or ability to acquire Peer Recovery Specialist Certification.
  • Previous experience with substance use or mental health treatment is required.
  • Ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of volunteer recruitment and retention.
  • Project management experience with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions to move the program forward.
  • Solid computing skills; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience using Salesforce is a plus!
  • Strong interpersonal skills: writing and grammar, verbal communication, possess the ability to communicate effectively with diverse people and a friendly disposition.
  • Sensitivity to personal client information required.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks throughout a day.
    • Desire to work in the field of substance use and mental health recovery.
    • 1-2 years of working in a psychiatric or substance abuse facility preferred.
