As a Detox Nurse at Sandstone Care You Will:

  • Assists with medication management, client medication education, and administration according to physician orders and in accordance with facility policy. 
  •  Assists with clients’ prescription medication refill and administration.
  • Document and maintain accurate and current patient records in electronic healthcare software system. 
  • Complete intake assessments and other required documentation upon admission
  • Oversee work and responsibilities of Behavioral Health or Mental Health Technicians, resource for Techs in performance of job duties related to client care. 
  • Monitor and observe clients upon admission, managing any medical challenges within the scope of your license, contacting physician when appropriate for best client care. 
  • Support clients that are actively intoxicated, experiencing symptoms of withdrawal 
  •  Identify emerging situation and respond appropriately.
  • Monitor/observe Urinalysis or Breathalyzer tests as needed and document appropriately. 

 

 

Qualifications

  • A valid and current RN or LPN license in Colorado
  • Previous experience in treating substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders.
  • Training in verbal de-escalation and/or mental health.
  • A valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
  • At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
  • bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
