What You’ll Learn

There are 3 potentials projects for the summer internship.
1. Wi-Fi 7 test development
Contribute to the functional and unit testing of Wi-Fi 7 multi-link functionality in Hosted Environment using CMock and Unity.2. PCAP analyzer enhancement for 802.11be.
3. Packet injector for mocking new frames and visualizing over the air.
Skills You’ll Learn:
• Interns will deepen their understanding of Wi-Fi protocol stack.
• Interns will have the opportunity to work on Wi-Fi firmware, learning to design, develop and optimize software that directly interacts with Wi-Fi hardware.
• They will hone their software development skills, including coding in languages like C/C++.
• They will develop strong teamwork skills through collaboration on projects and gain insights into agile development methodologies.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop software to build and scale Samsung’s wireless connectivity solutions.
- Develop tools and library to improve the development process of new Wi-Fi features.
- Contribute to test frameworks and engine to validate new 802.11be features.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced development team, with clear, positive, and constructive communication.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA headquarters 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.
What You Bring
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong coding skills in C/C++, Python.
- Familiarity with Linux Systems, Android, Windows.
- Experience working with wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers for debugging.
- Knowledge of existing wireless communication protocols: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, Bluetooth/BLE or related protocol is a plus.
