We are currently searching for a highly talented and motivated person to join our growing Marketing Communications organization as the Head of Strategic Marketing. We are looking for someone with significant experience developing program roadmaps from strategy to execution across different functional team areas and marketing disciplines. In this role, you will develop digital campaigns, event/experience concepts and new initiatives. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders on programs to help promote Samsung internally and externally throughout the industry.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strategic annual marketing, product, and content programs
  • Partner closely with sales and professional marketing teams to understand customer insights, business challenges and co-create strategies designed to fuel customer and product success stories
  • Work with cross functional teams to evaluate marketing opportunities, develop recommendations and strategic programs across multiple business areas
  • Conduct market research and analysis activities, in collaboration with product marketing teams, including defining research objectives, gathering data from secondary market sources, aggregating data and drawing meaningful insights
  • Partner with Product Planning & Engineering to develop product positioning messaging
  • Lead rigorous analysis of company metrics and associated dashboards in order to monitor business success and to develop insights into areas of improvement/opportunity
  • Manage, measure and optimize campaign performance while maximizing program budget
  • Work closely with the accounts and design teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, develop messaging across multiple formats (e.g., video, blog, virtual and in-person events, social)
  • Write original copy and edit content for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video, and social media)
  • Develop and execute marketing activities to support the overall customer marketing programs including: webinars, meetings, emails, and customer events
  • Represent SSI at key events, relevant technology conferences, tradeshows
  • Build strategic relationships with c-suite executives and marketing teams at key customers
  • Build internal networks for customer marketing needs (speakers: keynotes, conferences, other forums or events)
  • Supports the Marcom team with projects and activities as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in customer or content marketing with a focus on strategy
  • Experience building and communicating strategy plans
  • Passion for driving customer engagement
  • Ability to understand complex customer use cases and articulate how a technology solution is delivering customer value
  • Skilled at delivering campaigns and programs using mixed media and various digital channels
  • Strong marketing fundamentals
  • Excellent Value-messaging skills
  • Influences internal/external business groups
  • Provides thought leadership
  • Outstanding organizational and people skills, master communicator who can speak to all levels of the organization and lead complex, cross-functional projects
  • Capable of operating independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel
