Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is searching for an Android and Kernel Software Lead Engineer. Candidate will join a diverse team and customer working on design, implementation and testing of our next generation of chipsets with the specific role of supporting embedded software development. Samsung Mobile SoC chipsets have been commercialized in millions of smart devices including Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets and we are now on track to bring Android and kernel solutions to market.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and implement Android and Kernel device drivers and leading software development, for SoC platform
  • Enhancing, Optimizing, Maintaining and leading Android and Kernel software development
  • Work closely with systems and hardware engineers to develop new architecture and implement  of Android SW and Hardware abstraction layer for SoC
  • Debugging and problem solving Android system issues and collaborate with customer and developer

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Masters degree preferred.
  • Software development and management skills with strong proficiency in C, C++ and Java
  • Experience with Android system including AOSP, Kernel device driver and framework
  • Strong knowledge in Android O/S bring up with SoC
  • Strong Knowledge in Linux Kernel, device driver, Framework
  • Comfortable fixing issues related Linux kernel and Android System
