Position Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled, thoughtful, and collaborative Engineer, AWS Cloud Infrastructure to help design and develop the next generation of NEONs and deliver this innovative technology to a wider user base. As a part of the technical team, you’ll solve challenging problems and provide input into both product roadmaps and development approaches.

Responsibilities

  • As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Neon, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the cloud infrastructure that meets our organization's technology standards
  • Design, build, extend cloud infrastructure, monitoring, security platforms across the Neon organization
  • The individual will be expected to develop, implement, and optimize the backend stack of Neon

Requirements

  • BS Computer Science + 3 years of industry or MS Computer Science + 1 years of industry or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Extensive experience with AWS (Route53, S3, EFS, Lambda, CloudWatch, SQS, DynamoDB)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation
  • Solid understanding of basic internet principles such as HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, Networking and Load Balancing
  • Solid understanding of AWS IAM Roles and Policies
  • Subject Matter Expert in: AWS Networking - VPC, VPC Peering, Routing, Gateways, Subnets and Endpoints

Bonus

  • Experience with AWS GameLift, GameSparks.
  • Experience with containers and/or container orchestration such as Kubernetes/Docker using EKS

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
