Samsung Austin Semiconductor is looking for an experienced reliability engineer with strong technical expertise, who can drive all phases of reliability engineering for advanced CMOS technology nodes.
Job Duties
•Provide technical leadership for reliability improvement activities.
•Identify, plan, and execute reliability evaluations for new technology development, technology qualification, process changes and abnormal events. Identify concerning items for product reliability and drive improvement actions with both local and overseas operations.
•Manage solutions to integration problems working across several departments (Diffusion, Cleans, Metals, Integration, Device, Product Test, etc) to improve reliability.
•Design, execute, and analyze designed experiments to improve semiconductor fabrication processes.
•Utilize lessons learned to improve reliability margin; define new process integration for new technology nodes.
•Utilize statistical tools and reliability models to extract lifetime from time to fail data.
•Represent Samsung technology leadership by authoring papers for symposiums & journals and leadership roles at external conferences.
•Navigate both the industrial and academic landscape in order to be a knowledge center of device integration and technology development for reliability.
Qualifications
• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics and 3+ years of experience with product reliability, in semiconductor industry preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
•Hands-on experience of reliability mechanisms (BTI, HCI, TDDB,EM, SM etc)
•Demonstrated understanding of device physics for FEOL/BEOL reliability
•Clear understanding of reliability statistics.
•Knowledge of SiO2/Poly-Si and High-k/metal gate integration schemes for Planar/FinFET technology.
•A high level of self-motivation and strong communication skills (written and presentation) required.
•Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products is required.
