Samsara is looking for an experienced Finance Coordinator to provide direct support to the Sales Team in coordinating third party financing for select revenue deals. The role will act as the centralized point of contact for all of Samsara’s 3rd party financing partners and will be responsible for managing those relationships. This position resides within the Sales Operations organization and primarily interacts with the Mid Market Sales Team, Sales Management, and Finance team. The right person for this job has a team player approach, the ability to work across departments with disparate needs, has exceptional communication skills, and has an acute attention to detail.
Manage Samsara’s relationship with existing financing partners while prospecting for and onboarding new partners.
Analyze and manage Samsara’s financing portfolio to ensure adequate diversification and minimize risk of overexposure to any one financing partner
Define our working relationships with each partner, including agreements on terms, fees, and working processes, working cross functionally with Samsara’s Sales, Sales Ops, and Finance teams
Be the primary point of contact for our sales team to align the best financing options to each deal, taking into consideration payment terms, interest rates, and deal structure
Complete ad hoc Deal Desk projects and analysis as required.
Work to help ensure the company obtains its overall goals in regards to profitability, margin, and market share.
Be responsible for adherence to and compliance with policy and procedures; confirm SFDC records are updated and managed correctly
Coordinate and plan necessary training documents and presentations for the sales team
Qualifications and Experience:
3+ years related experience in Finance or Sales Operations
Proficiency with Salesforce.com and MS Excel
Strong understanding of quote to cash processes
Able to operate with independent discretion and judgement with respect to policy adherence and understanding to facilitate exceptions
Extremely strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; organizational and problem-solving skills are a must
Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, and analytical individual, accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor Degree in Business is strongly preferred; experience working at a startup is a plus
