Electronics QA Technician
The Electronics QA Technician will be responsible for applying electrical/electronic theory and related knowledge to test, troubleshoot, perform experiments, along with data collection and analysis. In addition, diagnosis and troubleshooting in response to failures and nonconformance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs incoming quality checks on production material and evaluate test and field data to ensure product quality.
Assemble and/or rework prototype assemblies and wire harnesses. (Soldering, crimping etc.)
Sources and purchases electrical parts as needed.
Maintains/owns Operations Lab
Develop and maintain data systems to record and report test results. Provide technical input and evaluation on process improvements
Interface with engineers on tests, experiments and qualification testing of new products: This includes developing test methodology, establishing test parameters and drafting procedures.
Other tasks as needed.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Read and understand procedures and electrical schematics
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills. Component level troubleshooting and diagnosis.
Ability to use a variety of testing and measuring and optical instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, microscope, etc.)
IPC-610 Class II Soldering skills
Detail oriented documentation skills (writing procedures/ documenting test results)
Python/SQL/Command Line Programming skills are a plus
AS Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or other formal training (trade schools, military technical schools etc.)
