About the role:

At Samsara, we invest in our people and hiring is a team effort that is crucial to our success. We are looking for a talented, experienced Executive Researcher to partner with our executive recruiting team to hire the best executive talent for Samsara. You will serve as the subject matter expert across Director, VP, and C-level searches. Our recruiting team operates at a fast pace while delivering the best in class candidate experience.

Executive Search is the newest part of the recruiting team focused on hiring the next generation of Senior Leaders at Samsara. In this role, you are responsible for sourcing for leadership roles (Director/VP) globally across the company. These roles require a high touch, high level of service for our internal team and candidates you interact with. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Partner with executive level management and executive recruiter on high-profile leadership requisitions and assist them in determining and fulfilling their talent needs
  • Create and execute leadership search strategies across Sales, Corporate, and R&D searches
  • Identify, evaluate, and present leadership talent to executive management, providing a point of view on the talent and market landscape.
  • Build relationships with strong leadership talent in the marketplace
  • Source passive candidates through research, internal and external networking, and direct outreach
  • Be responsible for building out talent intelligence projects
  • Maintain professional and courteous candidate communication
  • Foster long-term relationships with prospective candidates
  • Provide an excellent internal client experience with detailed communication and frequent updates.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we scale globally and across new offices  

Minimum qualifications:

  • 3+  years of experience in a recruiting role within executive search, management consulting, or in-house executive recruiting
  • Experience creating search strategies, mapping markets, and working with industry insights, processes, and data quality
  • Ability to build productive partnerships with leaders and collaborate with executives.
  • Passionate about hiring a diverse team
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
