As the Payroll Manager for Samsara EMEA, you will be responsible for processing payroll and managing expense reports for employees. You will also be assisting with ensuring our payroll process is compliant, and answering any related employee questions. This is a full time onsite position at our office in our Aldgate, London office as part of the Finance team, and includes stock options, pension, medical, dental, vision benefits.
Payroll Manager will work on:
Processing payroll for employees and contractors in EMEA (predominantly UK, but also DE, FR, NL, ES and more)
Ensuring payrolls processed through third party PEOs are correct and timely
On-boarding and off-boarding employees from payroll and expense reimbursement systems as needed
Reviewing, classifying and approving expense reimbursement forms. Ensuring expenses adhere to expense policy and appropriate approvals were obtained.
Maintaining time sheets approval policies to ensure accuracy for payroll processing
Preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management
Processing employment verification requests in a timely manner
Performing various journal entries, account reconciliations, and providing general ledger support
Maintaining current knowledge and compliance with applicable country laws
Processing pension submission for every pay period
Coordinating payroll/benefit audits
Processing and distributing P20
Coordinating the annual open enrollment period for all employees (collaboration with the HR Team)
Facilitating management and employee understanding of payroll/benefits procedures
Championing, role modeling, and embedding Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we scale globally and across new offices
An ideal candidate would:
3+ years’ experience managing payroll and employee benefits in multiple European countries
Knowledge of ADP iHCM or Workday strongly preferred
Proficient in MS Office (Strong Excel Skills)
Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
Outstanding work ethic and passionate about helping and serving others
Supporting of team members and establishing healthy/collaborative relationships
Ability to work in a changing environment
