We have one of the fastest growing and highest performing sales teams in the Bay Area, and we’re looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial person to help us continue to scale globally.
Working closely with the senior sales leadership team, you’ll help ensure our sales team is equipped with the skills to tackle Samsara’s next phase of growth. Specific responsibilities will include identifying additional training needs, developing new sales acceleration programs, and taking ownership of specific new hire training and continued training for existing sales team. You will work with three segments of our sales team: Enterprise Sales, Mid Market Sales, Commercial Sales.
Our ideal candidate understands our company objectives and suggests ideas to achieve them through sales training. For this position, you should combine your own sales experience and drive results with the sales team from hands-on involvement. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our sales team is fully equipped to perform at a high level and increase quota attainment and customer satisfaction. This position is based in our San Francisco HQ.
Design sales specific onboarding session for new sales hires.
Develop continued training content and help maintain our learning management system
Develop and implement new systems to measure and record sales team proficiency and training effectiveness
Work with and coach sales management on company sales methodology to ensure rep implementation
Evaluate sales team performance to ensure incorporation of taught techniques
Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
3+ years of direct sales experience in a closing role. Additional experience as a sales training specialist or sales training coordinator is a plus
Proponent of the Sandler Sales Methodology
Proven ability to manage the full training cycle
Experience with learning management software
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong organizational and team management skills
Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field
Additional certifications in training is a plus
