Samara’s IoT platform has resonated resoundingly with customers, and the company is growing explosively. We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader to drive our fast-growing engineering team forward as we scale.
In this role, you'll drive engineering organizational development and operational decision-making and lead new engineering initiatives. You will develop top-tier engineers through training and enablement programs, identify engineering bottlenecks through metrics and data analysis, and improve engineering productivity through organizational and infrastructure improvements.
This role requires excellent data and analytical skills, entrepreneurialism, and leadership.
Measure and analyze engineering performance across product groups
Identify and mitigate development inefficiencies such as gaps in documentation, developer environment, infrastructure, and communication
Conceive of, and execute on, ideas to drive step-changes in engineering structure and process that will improve performance
Develop and lead the engineering onboarding and training program
Build programs to develop engineering leadership and management
Demonstrated leadership (including leading with and without formal authority)
Excellent analytical skills, passion for data
Strong written communication and presentation skills
Creative, with demonstrated problem solving abilities
Experience working with engineering teams; familiar with software development processes, SaaS delivery models, etc.
B.S. or higher, preferably in a quantitative field (engineering, applied math, etc.). MBA optional.
8-12 years professional experience, including management consulting, growth or business operations, or similar
Min. 4 years people-management experience
