The HW Quality manager uses manufacturing experience and program management skills to drive continuous improvement activities across all Samsara products. You will be responsible for creating and leading quality programs at Samsara. This is a high visibility position that works with cross functional teams to improve product performance and the customer experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create vision for quality at Samsara
Set OKRs and recommend/drive process changes to achieve key results
Communicate the company's quality system to internal stakeholders (Hardware, Product management, firmware and customer support) and drive improvements
Lead root cause and corrective actions with internal cross functional team members and external vendors (8D/RCCA/CAPA)
Develop, implement and improve quality processes (IQC, OQC, IPQC, SPC)
Use visual management tools to help drive improvements within the organization
Evaluate data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process and part specifications
Establish audit procedures appropriate to program and supplier to ensure adherence to Samsara quality standards
Owns JDM factory yield and drives continuous improvement at the manufacturers

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication with strong presentation skills
Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
Working understanding and theory of Quality Methods, Design of Experiments, statistical process control methods
Experience developing process quality plans, supplier quality audits, and driving corrective actions and failure analysis efforts
China/Taiwan manufacturing experience a plus. ~15% International travel required.
