Web Developer (HTML/SCSS/Twig) - Contractor

Using our products and lesson materials, teachers can help their students design anything from an energy efficient lighting grid for a ‘smart’ city to a solar-powered habitat for endangered species!
With over 4,000 school customers in 60+ countries already using SAM Labs products and lesson materials, we are looking for a Web Developer (contracter) for a 2-4 week project. We are a team of passionate and collaborative people on a mission to be key players in the future of education and the Web Developer will play a crucial role. This role will be based at our HQ in London (Old Street).

We are looking for a passionate web developer to work on a contract basis to implement the visual design of our new website working with our UX/design lead and engineering team.
The work will comprise mostly of creating Twig templates which will be used in our CraftCMS that output HTML5 and then styling that using SCSS. The work will also include the development of templates and styling for our Shopify website.
This assignment will be carried out on a project basis based on the equivalent of £250 per day.
You will be working with various technologies including Craft CMS and Shopify to bring our new website and user experience to life.
We'd like to see a portfolio that demonstrates:
- Ability to translate graphic design into HTML and CSS.
- Familiar with semantic HTML for clean accessible document structures.
- Comfortable with mobile first design.
- Implementing designs so that they perform well in popular web browsers.
- Use source control to manage and commit work.
- Ability to use graphics software such as Adobe Photoshop.
Technologies being used for this project:
- Twig Templates
- CSS3 / SCSS / BEM
- Craft CMS (bonus but not essential)
- Shopify (bonus but not essential)
