SambaNova System is seeking a Product UX/UI designer to help with our growing product portfolio. You will report directly to the Sr Principal Product Designer and have the opportunity to work with a cross-disciplinary team of engineers and data scientists to generate and execute concepts for digital experiences building the future of Machine Learning. This will include building interactive web-based software applications and contributing to the development of original solutions, prototypes, and polished, final high-fidelity designs. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with concepts from ideation to execution
  • Create comprehensive sitemaps, wireframe systems, and process flows for large-scale solutions
  • Develop detailed, annotated high-fidelity wireframes depicting all elements on unique screen types, including content, functional, navigation, and interaction specifications
  • Utilize low-fidelity, medium-fidelity, high-fidelity prototypes across different stages of the design process
  • Pair design with a mentor on very complex design challenges.
  • Refine UI components in a design system
  • Get a deeper understanding of Machine Learning processes in order to create user-friendly experiences for different use cases and personas
  • Develops customer scenarios, conducts journey mapping, and collaborates on persona development
  • Assist with stakeholder interviews to understand key success factors for a project or pursuit, and identify and document meaningful patterns from user research and UX audit findings
  • Present concepts and deliverables to internal stakeholders and provide recommendations
  • Balances multiple projects, teams, and/or work streams
  • Collaborates with Consumer Insights and Analytics/Data Science to apply data and insights to UX design decisions and to determine UX success metrics & KPIs
  • Actively collaborate in cross-disciplinary idea generation
  • Articulate rationale for approach in the context of both business and user needs
  • Define processes and deliverables that meet project goals and constraints
  • Identify and translate common design patterns into design system components
  • Act proactively facing uncertainty and ambiguity, thrive by solving problems and collaborating with cross-functional partners, and hold a high bar for quality in design

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience working on complex web-based software applications, transactional or enterprise experiences, with small to medium-sized teams that encompass interaction design, task flow, behavior, and navigation components
  • B.A or B.S. in design
  • Experience with scoping and estimating UX tasks
  • Experience of industry-standard design tools, e.g. Figma
  • A portfolio that demonstrates user-centered design approach & process, structured thinking, emphatic storytelling, and design solutions driven by user & business insights

REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to learn something new every day with humility and excitement
  • Have an online or PDF portfolio that exhibits thoughtful process, strong design artifacts, and excellent visual design and writing skills
  • Collaborative, curious analytical mindset, great at problem-solving, with the ability to create consensus from diverse perspectives
  • 6+ months of experience working on design systems
  • Designing Enterprise Software/Financial is a plus
