The newly created Regional Vice President position at Samanage will be integral to the company’s expansion and aggressive growth. This role serves as the key position for generating revenue within our Mid-Market/ Small Enterprise space, by further growing the existing customer base for the Samanage product as well as new logo customer acquisition. This role embodies the opportunity to exercise entrepreneurial drive in developing strategies to drive business demand and revenue, including creating new revenue models and channels, driving demand for new logo, growth on the current base, reducing customer churn and contributing to new products and features.

Successful performance in this role will lead to increased responsibility, impact, and reward. Reporting to the VP, Revenue & Success, the RVP strategically helps drive demand, consistently increases the amount of new business coming into the company and maximizes relationships with existing customers. As a player-coach, this role directly achieves ambitious sales results while also developing, leading and inspiring highly productive business development, sales and technical sales teams.

As the leader of this function, our RVP will build and lead a regional sales organization focused on the following outcomes:

Drive Revenue Outcomes

  • Create overall plans and strategies for developing business and achieving opportunity and revenue goals
  • Manage and guide all day-to-day activities of the sales team in region
  • Optimize sales productivity and results
  • Identify, cultivate, and close new business to meet aggressive sales goals utilizing a highly relationship-driven approach
  • Recommend and create new revenue models and channels in support of company objectives
  • Gain astute comprehension of marketplace and prospect dynamics

Manage Revenue Activities

  • Lead and develop high achieving, inspired business development, sales, technical and customer success sales teams
  • Establish mentoring, training and support processes
  • Manage sales budgets, KPI’s, and performance reporting tools
  • Analyze acquisition reports to formulate solutions and action plans for increasing revenue generation

Inspire Revenue Across the Company

  • Contribute collaboratively to product and feature ideation, development, and enhancement
  • Support development and implementation of marketing programs and initiatives
  • Strengthen customer relationships, grow the base and reduce churn
  • Increase market penetration and promote the Samanage brand
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with company leaders to facilitate support for revenue generation initiatives, and for cohesive integration of revenue generation goals and activities with overall operations


  • 10+ years successful sales experience, including at least 5 years in sales management
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and grow a team, serving as a player-coach
  • Proven experience growing revenue through customer acquisition and growing sales revenues over a multi-year sustainable basis
  • History of developing and building strong customer relationships
  • Experience in creating new revenue models and channels
  • Proven success in introducing and selling new products in the marketplace
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to working collaboratively and communicating effectively with other teams
  • Problem solver and thought leader on sales, marketing, and general market trends
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, combined with highly developed analytical skills
