Sama is looking for a qualified, highly organized, and self-motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team and report to our Global Controller. You will have an opportunity to have a direct impact on scaling a fast growing global start-up. In this role, you will be managing Monthly close process, and ensure the accuracy, timeliness and integrity of financial data. In addition to daily and monthly responsibilities, you will also support the Finance team in setting up and maintaining accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing entries
  • Inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting
  • Manage Fixed Assets
  • Balance sheet and P&L account reconciliation
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
  • Ensure timely execution and filing of appropriate tax documents (with the exception of the Corporate Income Tax for which you will work with our outside firm)
  • Assist with annual audits

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • At least 3+ years general ledger accounting experience for company size $50-100M revenue is required
  • Strong Excel and database skills
  • Experience with Netsuite
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Team player and have ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization
  • Experience working in tech services and/or software industry
  • International consolidation experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with system conversions (ideally from QuickBooks to Netsuite)
  • Familiarity of GAAP a strong plus
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Asana, and Slack preferred
