Join us as our Senior Accounting Manager, leading and shaping our Accounting function as we scale. We're seeking a talented Accounting manager with a hunger for leadership and a knack for full-cycle accounting. Your days will be filled with overseeing all accounting operations, crafting strategic plans, and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. What You’ll Do
- Strategic Guidance: Oversee the Accounting function by setting overall direction and collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Financial Rigor and Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in compliance with GAAP.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate and enhance financial processes, systems, and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy. Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks and streamline reporting processes.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal control policies. Lead our annual audits, including tax returns and financial audits across all locations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Accounting
- 2+ years of people management experience
- NetSuite experience required
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to translate details into actionable responses
- Preferred but not required: 2+ years experience in managed property accounting, knowledge of lease accounting (ASC 842); familiarity with Bill.com, Expensify and/or RAMP
