We are looking for a Location Operations Manager, Fulfillment, who will successfully execute against service level agreements and meet a range of operational goals. The ideal candidate for this role must have substantive experience in managing fulfillment operations, a strong track record of building great operations teams, and a command of process that enables you to effectively coach and train. This position will be based in Dublin, OH and report to the Director of Fulfillment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a seven-day per week, multi-shift operation with a minimum of one salary direct report and upwards of twenty hourly direct reports
  • Manage the safety, quality, productivity, and organization of your MFC/HUB
  • Engage with Saltbox members, help problem solve, and provide logistical support
  • Receive, replenish, consolidate, and ship member orders with strict adherence to established service level agreements
  • Provide purpose, direction and motivation to your salaried and hourly workforce
  • Develop, execute, and iterate on novel logistics services
  • Support the building staff with day-to-day tactical duties, including receiving, replenishment, consolidation, picking, packing and shipping e-commerce orders to meet explicit service level agreements
  • In cooperation with the senior operations manager and the Director of Fulfillment, develop forecasts to meet demand
  • Participate in the full life-cycle of people management, including hiring, onboarding, and training
  • Inform and execute strategic initiatives related to safety, quality, accuracy, retention, productivity, on-time performance, and other key performance indicators
  • Lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours
  • Access all areas of the building
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3+ years management experience with direct responsibility for employees and their performance
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule dependent on demand

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team of at least two salaried direct reports and fifty or more hourly indirect reports
  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, operations, business administration, or a related field
  • Exceptional interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Involvement in continuous improvement efforts
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and analytical skills
  • Past experience in a geographically distributed reporting structure
  • Prior leadership role in military, fulfillment, distribution, or third party logistics environments
