About the Opportunity
About this opportunity:
Salsify is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and operations-oriented Senior Revenue Accountant with a consistent track record of process improvements and cross-functional collaboration. The role will have a strong operational emphasis on month-end close responsibilities, and will also provide candidates with the opportunity to work cross-functionally on business expansion initiatives, system implementations and enhancements, and process improvements. You'll be a critical member of the accounting team and have the ability to make an impact on improving processes and automating systems to keep pace with the growth of the company.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Review contracts and contract documentation to ensure revenue and related accounts are presented accurately according to ASC 606
- Perform revenue activities and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the monthly close process
- Work closely with the billing and collections team to resolve customer payment issues
- Assist with order management functions, including monitoring the integration between Salesforce and NetSuite, and ensuring orders are transferred accurately and completely
- Partner with the legal, business operations, and sales on contract negotiations and deal structure to ensure revenue recognition compliance
- Document revenue processes and controls, implement improvements, and drive automation initiatives
- Work closely with business operations team to build and test system configurations based on provided requirements and use cases
- Assist external auditors on revenue related requests and documentation
- Assist with ad-hoc projects for the Corporate Controller and Senior Revenue Manager as they arise
You'll Enjoy This Role If You Have:
- 3+ years of related experience in accounting
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance required
- Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite is a plus
- Possess a focus for process improvements, challenging the status quo
- Ability to review and interpret contracts
- Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- CPA preferred
