About the Opportunity
Salsify pioneered the first Product Experience Management (PXM) platform to help brand manufacturers win more sales, and grow market share online. We work with a growing roster of hundreds of leading brands across the globe including Coca-Cola, Bosch, GSK, Rawlings, and Fruit of the Loom. We’ve come a long way since starting in a Boston basement in late 2012, and now have great, happy customers across the entire supply chain, from brands to distributors to retailers to marketplaces.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Salsify you will be entrusted to innovate and constantly improve our products to deliver a platform and experience our customers love to use. You will solve complex business and scalability problems and help define the direction of the product as well as work across the entire Salsify technology ecosystem building and maintaining back-end services and APIs in Ruby and Python, interacting directly with Retailers, Marketplaces and E-Commerce platforms like Amazon, Walmart, BigCommerce, Shopify and much more. Our engineers are simultaneously scaling a demanding application while simplifying complex business processes for our users and learning from top engineers along the way.

How You'll Make an Impact:
- Building and maintaining the client-facing application of our data exchange platform using technologies like:
- React
- Redux
- TypeScript/ES2020+
- Jest + testing-library + webdriver.io
- Participating in frontend initiatives such as:
- Backend for Frontend creation
- Move to micro-frontends
- Design System adoption
- Set technical direction and help define the technical approach for the work the team takes on.
- Work closely with product and engineering management to help define the product roadmap.
- Collaborate with go-to-market teams to launch new functionality.
- Grow as a leader both on the team and within the broader engineering organization.
- Mentor new team members as the team grows.
- Participate in tech talks and guilds to exchange ideas and strategies that advance our ability to build quality software.
- Be proud of what you work on, learn from and give back to your team and the broader Salsify community - contribute to the success of an exciting and fast growing Boston-based company with global customers.
You'll Enjoy This Role If You Have:
- 5+ years of XP working as a Frontend Software Engineer in a strong engineering environment
- Experience with ReactJS
- Familiar with CI/CD and deployment cycles
- Extensive knowledge of testing (unit, integration and e2e tests)
- Broad knowledge and genuine curiosity about frontend development
- Fluency in English
Bonus skills:
- Experience with Redux is a plus
- Cypress knowledge and/or experience is a plus
- Experience on micro-frontends is appreciated
- Experience designing large single-page applications in a B2B software company
- Experience with frontend tooling management, maintenance and improvement
